About Us

Janty Creations was born out of the need to find a line of soaps and skincare products that was completely natural, alcohol and chemical free. Initially everything that I made was used only by my immediate family and this of course includes our beautiful dog, Dylan!

The more I made, the more people I discovered who had allergies to commercially made soaps and body lotions, or had abnormally dry and damaged skins, or were just looking for an alternative - one that gave them the silky, clean, smoothness promised by commercials, but without the harmful, chemical additives and high prices that were the norm. Soon, without really trying, I had a devoted following that suggested more, related products, because they had begun to understand exactly what "pure and natural" meant to their skins.

During the development phase of the Janty product range I read widely on the subjects of aromatherapy, the physiology of the skin and naturopathy, among others. My reading supports my belief that our skins deserve only the best. They are our first point of contact with the environment and they need to be strong, supple and healthy to serve us well. What we apply to our skins becomes us! It is for this reason that I chose to use as the base of my products, only natural vegetable oils, plant butters, essential oils and wherever possible, organically grown botanicals and herbs, because:

• Vegetable and nut oils are highly compatible with our skin's chemistry, are absorbed readily and support the skin's needs and functions.
• Essential oils - the pure essence of all the fragrance and vitality in very specific plants - are able to change our moods, to give us the benefit of their vitality and relax and soothe us in these stress-filled times. The art of aromatherapy, which is based on these exquisite, highly concentrated oils, was well-known to the ancient Egyptians and is becoming better understood by us in the Western world as it meets our needs and proves its worth.
